Dina DeGeer

Dina has been an investment analyst and fund manager since 1985. She began her investment career at Confederation Life Insurance Company, and by 1987 was responsible for managing a $300 million U.S. equity fund. She left Confederation Life to join Trimark Investment Management Inc. in October, 1989.

At Trimark, Dina was a Vice President and part of the four-person investment team that was responsible for the management of Trimark’s mutual funds. Until 1992 her particular responsibility was investing in U.S. companies with a major focus on the Trimark Fund and Trimark Select Growth Fund. During 1992 she assumed responsibility for co-managing Trimark’s Canadian equity funds and the Canadian equity component of Trimark’s balanced funds. These funds in total amounted to over $4 billion.

Dina left Trimark in the summer of 1995 to join the newly created company, Bluewater.

Dina earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University in 1984, her MBA from Windsor University in 1985 and her Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1987.
